Elevate infection control standards as an Assistant Director of Care at Berkshire Care Centre in Windsor, ON. This full-time role emphasizes leadership in infection prevention and control practices.
This position is for a Registered Practical Nurse with experience in infection control, overseeing RNs, RPNs, and PSWs. You will implement programs that meet provincial standards and enhance resident safety. Your direct leadership will foster team development and adherence to best practices across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review daily infection control trends
• Co-Chair Infection Prevention and Control meetings
• Coordinate vaccination clinics for residents
• Conduct audits on PPE and hand hygiene
• Compile monthly infection control reports
Requirements:
• RPN with Ontario Registration
• 2 years in infection control in care settings
• Certification in infection control or commitment to obtain
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in various hours as needed
