The Quality Sr. Engineer ensures that all products and processes meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards within a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for leading quality systems, supporting product launches, driving root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions to achieve zero-defect performance. The Senior Quality Engineer works closely with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and OEM customers to maintain and improve product quality throughout the production lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities Quality Management & System Optimization Oversee company‑wide quality management and coordinate the implementation of annual quality objectives.
Lead the enhancement of quality standards and foster a culture of quality excellence.
Monitor, maintain, and improve the quality system; drive effective operation and continuous optimization of the management system.
Manage second‑party and third‑party audits, and track the execution of improvement plans.
Process Control & Issue Resolution Ensure in‑process quality control through monitoring product inspections during production.
Lead the handling and tracking of internal non‑conformities and quality abnormalities.
Effectively manage the operations of the internal laboratory.
Customer‑Oriented & Cross‑Functional Collaboration Excel in customer‑oriented quality management by thoroughly understanding customer requirements and facilitating efficient communication.
Assist the Purchasing Department in supplier quality management.
Participate in new project planning and ensure high‑level quality control measures are maintained during project transfers to other plants or locations.
Performance & Reporting Assume accountability for module targets, KPIs, and MOS indicators, and handle corresponding statistical reporting.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher. A major in Quality Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of quality management experience within an automotive components manufacturing enterprise.
Key Skills & Competencies Proficient in quality management practices for automotive parts. Must be familiar with Core Quality Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC), QC Seven Tools, 8D problem‑solving methodology, and the IATF 16949:2016 quality management system.
Prior experience in establishing an IATF 16949 system from the ground up and proficiency with SAP software are significant advantages.
Automotive manufacturing facility (stamping, welding, assembly, or paint)
Exposure to industrial noise, machinery, and production floor environments.
May require flexible hours to support multiple shifts or emergency response.
