Elevate cannabis research as a Tissue Culture Technician with Cronos Group in Stayner, Ontario. Support the tissue culture program and ensure optimal plant health through active monitoring and detail-oriented work.
In this pivotal role, you will prepare media, transplant plantlets, and troubleshoot tissue culture issues. Collaborating closely with the R&D team, you are expected to maintain meticulous records in the ERP system while actively participating in discussions. Your insights will play a crucial role in advancing innovative methods and techniques in the cannabis industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and sterilize tissue culture media
• Transplant plantlets into fresh media
• Troubleshoot various tissue culture problems
• Maintain compliance records on tissue cultures
• Present research findings and recommendations
Requirements:
•
B.Sc. in Horticulture, Microbiology, or related field
• Experience in tissue culture or horticultural science
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
• Ability to perform fine motor movements in a sterile lab
