Lead food product development with Highbury Canco as an R&D Manager in Leamington. Drive innovative solutions while ensuring quality, safety, and compliance throughout product life cycles.
Highbury Canco is seeking an experienced Research & Development Manager to spearhead the development and optimization of food products. This role focuses on translating consumer needs into viable products while collaborating closely with Operations, Quality Assurance, and Engineering. The ideal candidate should have strong project management skills combined with a background in food science and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead R&D team to explore new product categories
• Manage product lifecycle from design to commercialization
• Support practical scale-up for new product launches
• Define project design criteria for stakeholders
• Establish testing and shelf-life studies for products
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field
• 5+ years in food product development, with 3+ in leadership
• Proven track record in successful R&D projects
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with manufacturing and preservation processes
