As a Merchandise Processing Supervisor, you hold a pivotal leadership role overseeing the efficient flow of merchandise through various processing stages in the retail setting. Your primary responsibilities include supervising a team of processing team members, ensuring the quality inspection of received items, and managing the sorting and grading processes. You play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and organized processing area, adhering to health and safety standards, and enforcing the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Attention to detail is paramount as you oversee the grading of items, attachment of price tags, and preparation of merchandise for the sales floor. Additionally, your role involves collaborating with the team to replenish stock, contribute to floor changes, and support successful sale events.

The successful candidate must have open availability and a flexible schedule based on operational needs. This includes the ability to work weekends, holidays, and closing shifts. Consistent availability and reliability throughout the duration of the contract are essential to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations.

• Coordinate and assist with the sorting, inspecting, grading, pricing, rolling and ragging of merchandise.
• Assist the Assistant General Manager with the preparation and execution of sale days.

• Support the Assistant General Manager by coordinating the efforts of the Merchandise Processing Team Members and Recyclers to ensure timely flow of merchandise to the sales floor- maintaining inventory levels.
• Assist the Assistant General Manager with the selection, screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of Merchandise Processing Team Members and Recyclers.
• Lead in the training of Merchandise Processing Team Members and Recyclers in the sorting, inspecting, grading, and rolling of all merchandise – among other tasks.
• Coach Team Members throughout the shift to ensure standards are achieved and maintained.
• Work as an integral part of the management team by providing support, attending meetings, and sharing information.

• Support the Assistant General Manager with providing direction to Merchandise Processing Team Members and Recyclers regarding company policies and procedures.
