Step into a vital role with Windsor Fire & Rescue Services as a Full-Time Firefighter. Handle emergencies while performing medical assistance and firefighting operations across the community.
The City of Windsor requires a Full-Time Firefighter capable of thriving in various challenging situations. This position entails critical responsibilities in firefighting, emergency response, and public safety. Strong communication and teamwork skills will be essential as you engage in regular training sessions and community outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
• Respond to fire and medical emergencies effectively
• Perform rescues and provide first aid as necessary
• Operate fire vehicles and apparatus during calls
• Support fire prevention and community education initiatives
• Maintain cleanliness of the fire station and equipment
Requirements:
• Must possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma
• Current Class ‘D’ Driver’s License with ‘Z’ endorsement
• Valid Basic Life Support Certification is required
• Completion of Job Related Agility Test is mandatory
• Experience in related fields is considered an asset
