This full-time role requires you to engage in various emergency situations, including fire suppression and rescue operations. You will utilize first aid skills and aid in public education while ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Regular training to enhance your firefighting and rescue skills is a must, along with a commitment to community service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Respond to emergencies in challenging conditions
• Control fires and perform rescues in hazardous environments
• Administer first aid and CPR as needed
• Drive fire apparatus to emergency sites
• Maintain cleanliness of fire equipment and station
Requirements:
• Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma
• Valid Class ‘D’ Driver’s License with ‘Z’ endorsement
• Standard First Aid & Basic Life Support Certification
• Completion of medical and agility tests
• Relevant education or experience in firefighting
