Position: Electrician (Hourly)

The Electrician (Hourly) will be working on a three-shift rotation to support manufacturing operations. Electricians (Hourly) assemble, install, test, repair, replace, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatuses, and fixtures, using both hand and power tools.

Key job functions include, but are not limited to
:

  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems and apparatuses
  • Test/inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components
  • Identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair
  • Maintain equipment and engage in safe work practices to ensure compliance with codes (legislative, safety, etc.)
  • Verify that all work completed results in the highest quality of product leaving the workstation
  • Note:

    All candidates must supply documentation proving completion of a Certificate of Apprenticeship along with a valid Certificate of Qualification (309A or 442A).

    Basic & Preferred Qualifications
    :

  • Certificate of Apprenticeship as an Electrician (309A or 442A)
  • Certificate of Qualification as an Electrician (309A or 442A)
  • Proven experience working with PLC's (Allen Bradley), Device Net, Ethernet, Motors, VFD's (Powerflex), DC Drives, Controls, Robotics (Fanuc, ABB, Nachi)
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret, troubleshoot, write and understand Rockwell Software, specifically RS Logix 5000 and RS Logix 5
  • Thorough understanding of Ladder Logic
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret automation wiring diagrams
  • Ability to troubleshoot systems and circuits
  • Knowledge and understanding of Panel View, RS View, Panel Builder, DH+/RIO and RS Networx
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
