Join the City of Windsor as a Temporary Full-Time Social Worker focusing on housing. Provide intensive case management and clinical counseling to vulnerable individuals and families in need.
This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in frontline support within the community. You will implement short to long-term case management while addressing the challenges of homelessness. Key responsibilities include crisis intervention, creating case plans, and facilitating interdisciplinary collaborations with various stakeholders in the health and social services sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide intensive case management for individuals and families
• Conduct crisis intervention and develop safety plans
• Coordinate interdisciplinary case conferences for complex needs
• Schedule emergency shelter diversion calls with agencies
• Document client interactions using relevant systems
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or equivalent
• Over one year in Social Work or related fields
• Registration with Ontario College of Social Workers
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
