Become a key player as a Full-Time Housing Support Case Manager in our organization, where you will assess housing needs in an emergency shelter setting. This role is perfect for professionals with case management experience who want to make a difference.
In this full-time role, you will work in an office from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients in securing permanent housing while managing a caseload of 17-21 households. The position also involves overseeing student placements and maintaining program compliance with necessary funding contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough assessments of client housing needs
• Provide targeted assistance for securing permanent housing
• Facilitate program compliance with funding requirements
• Oversee undergraduate social work student efforts
• Manage a diverse caseload of families and individuals
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Social Work and 1 year of field experience
• Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills
• Must have valid Ontario driver's license and insurance
• Familiarity with social services and community resources
• Understanding of crisis intervention and motivational interviewing
