Affiliate Counsellor – Independent Contractor   Family Services Windsor-Essex (FSWE)   Are you a compassionate clinician seeking meaningful work, professional growth, and flexibility, without the administrative demands of private practice?
At Family Services Windsor-Essex (FSWE), we empower individuals and families through counselling, education, and community support. We’re currently inviting skilled Affiliate Counsellors to join our clinical team, providing high-quality counselling and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services to individuals, couples, families, youth, and children.
As an Affiliate Counsellor, you’ll work as an independent contractor, delivering clinical services to FSWE and FSEAP clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing short-term, solution-focused counselling and EAP clinical support
Conducting assessments and developing goal-oriented treatment plans
Maintaining accurate, confidential client documentation
Adhering to FSWE and EAP clinical protocols, standards, and ethical guidelines

Free clinical supervision – Ongoing guidance and individual supervision available upon request, led by experienced clinicians with over 20 years in the fields of family therapy, trauma, and workplace counselling
Professional development opportunities –   Ongoing training in areas such as trauma, couples therapy, suicide intervention, and solution-focused counselling
Specialized workshops led by professionals with extensive experience in social work, psychotherapy, and evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, narrative, trauma-informed, and attachment-based approaches)

Supportive and inclusive workplace culture that values innovation, learning, and collaboration
What You Bring     Master’s degree in Social Work or Counselling Psychology
Registration in good standing with the OCSWSSW or CRPO
Experience providing counselling to individuals, couples, families, youth, and children
EAP experience and/or experience supporting seniors and adults with disabilities is an asset
Strong knowledge of community resources and social service systems
Excellent interpersonal, assessment, and therapeutic skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team-based organization
Bilingualism in French or Arabic considered a strong asset
