Mental Health Social Work

Be a vital part of Hôtel Dieu Grace Healthcare as a Mental Health Social Worker I in Windsor, Ontario. This role prioritizes supporting children and youth with complex needs through essential social work services.

In this position, you will utilize your social work background (2-4 years) to engage with families and coordinate essential services. Your responsibilities include managing applications, attending case conferences, and ensuring that care meets the hospital’s vision. As a part of a collaborative team, you will enhance the quality of mental health support offered to the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate service applications for youth with special needs

• Attend and contribute to case resolution meetings

• Complete necessary complex special needs applications

• Oversee transition planning and placements

• Conduct required reporting according to hospital standards

Requirements:

• BSW from an accredited institution is mandatory

• Current certification from the Ontario College is required

• Experience in a children's social work capacity preferred

• Familiarity with local social services systems is advantageous

• French language skills considered a plus
