As a Child & Youth Support Worker, you will provide vital behavioral and emotional support to a male youth with complex needs. This role, governed by HealthOPM, allows you to make a difference in a supportive environment while maintaining a consistent schedule. Your responsibilities include applying your NVCI or Safe Management Group training effectively to enhance safety and ensure proper de-escalation techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support daily activities and behavioral guidance
• Apply NVCI or Safe Management Group training
• De-escalate aggressive or violent behaviors
• Collaborate with the client and team members
Requirements:
• Diploma or certification as a Child & Youth Support Worker
• NVCI or Safe Management Group training required
• Experience with autism and complex needs
• Skills in behavior management and crisis response
• Patient, reliable, and compassionate approach
