Affirm seeks a Backend Software Engineer II to join the AI Agents engineering team and contribute to our goal of making credit more honest. You will work on API design and development using Python or Kotlin while collaborating closely with product management and design. Your mission will involve breaking down projects into manageable tasks and supporting operations and availability of team artifacts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Break down larger projects into individual tasks
• Collaborate with product management and design teams
• Monitor metrics and support on-call efforts
• Participate in growth activities and interviews
• Deliver scalable solutions with well-tested code
Requirements:
• 1.5+ years of software engineering experience
• Proficient in React or Vue for web apps
• Experience in designing APIs at scale
• Strong debugging and code review skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
