As a Software Engineer I on Search, you will contribute to team projects supporting Affirm’s Ads business and Marketplace shopping experience. You will design, develop, and launch backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin while writing clear, tested, extensible code. Collaboration, communication, and ownership guide your work.

Contribute to team projects and engineering goals

Communicate risks and trade-offs throughout delivery

Requirements:
Previous work or internship experience with JavaScript or Type Script
Backend systems experience using Python or Kotlin
Ability to design solutions across multiple software components
Comfort navigating codebases, debugging, and reviewing code
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
Bring backend development, tested coding, and collaborative communication to Affirm’s remote-first Search engineering team across Canada.
