Oversee vessel safety and operations as a Chief Officer. Ensure compliance, manage crew duties, and maintain equipment for safe maritime travel.
You will report to the Captain, assuming responsibility for the safe management of the deck department. This involves supervising the crew's activities, ensuring operational protocols are met, and monitoring safety measures during all vessel operations. Your leadership will promote an engaging and secure workplace while adhering to industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure the safety of passengers and crew onboard
• Prepare the vessel for daily operational activities
• Oversee maintenance of lifesaving equipment
• Maintain comprehensive operational records
• Train and supervise junior deck crew effectively
Requirements:
• Chief Officer Near Coastal or Unlimited certification
• Possession of a Seafarers Medical Certificate
• Radio Operator certification necessary
• Must hold various STCW certifications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills mandatory
