Responsibilities
Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
Address customers' complaints or concerns, providing professional customer service
Load and unload goods
Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs
Conduct pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections and oversee all vehicle aspects
Perform preventive maintenance
Receive and relay information to central dispatch
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
Tarp cargo and ensure safety and security
Transport and handle dangerous goods
Credentials
Air Brakes Endorsement
Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi‑trailer trucks)
Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2‑axle vehicles)
Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
Driver's License (Class 1 or
