What You Will Be DoingThis position is responsible for the safe delivery of Gerrie Electric products in and around the driver’s branch territory.
Driver Activities- Driving to deliver products within and around branch territory.
- Operate company vehicles in a safe manner.
- Careful loading and unloading of product.
- Maintain customer relationships by treating customers in a courteous manner.
- Transporting goods safely to customers, following the delivery instructions provided by company dispatchers.
- Conducting circle check of designated truck before each shift.
- Obtaining customer signatures after each delivery to confirm receipt of the correct goods in the correct quantity.
- Promptly notifying dispatch of any delivery issues, cargo damages, and vehicle breakdowns.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
- Understand and adhere to ISO policies and procedures.
- Perform continuous evaluation, development and execution of policies and programs.
- Participate in conferences, seminars, and other educational opportunities; read professional publications; maintain and participate in professional networks to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Participate on committees and special projects as requested.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Must have a valid G driver’s license (proven experience as a G driver is an asset).
- Must have a clean driver’s abstract with strong knowledge of road safety regulations.
- Ability to drive in difficult weather conditions, utilize GPS devices and road maps.
- Excellent organizational, time management, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Due to insurance purposes, must be 25 years of age or older.
- Knowledge and ability to navigate within and around branch territory.
