Become a vital part of Leggett & Platt's Operations team as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, supporting our automotive business with essential logistics tasks. Ensure smooth shipment processes and inventory accuracy through strong communication and organizational skills.
This role requires a detail-oriented individual with 2-3 years of experience in Supply Chain Management or Logistics. Your key responsibilities include scheduling shipments, preparing shipping documents, and managing incoming and outgoing goods. You will also maintain inventory accuracy and handle customer communications regarding shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule shipments via phone, email, and internet
• Prepare packing slips, bills of lading, and invoices
• Inspect goods and verify labels against packing slips
• Oversee loading and unloading of goods
• Handle returns and maintain daily documents
Requirements:
• High School Degree; college diploma preferred
• 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems
• Basic knowledge of inventory control principles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
