Amico is looking for a Captain to take charge of ferry services, ensuring the vessel complies with all marine regulations and standards. You will prepare voyage plans, inspect the vessel regularly, and lead your crew by example. Strong communication skills are a must for addressing passenger inquiries and concerns effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and vessel operations
• Conduct regular inspections of the ferry's condition
• Lead and mentor crew members in daily operations
• Monitor weather and navigational conditions
• Conduct safety drills and ensure crew preparedness
Requirements:
• Must hold Transport Canada Master 60 GT Limited Certificate
• Marine Emergency Duties certification a plus
• 2-3 years of experience operating vessels
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities
• Proficient in marine regulations and safety protocols
