Quality Control: Shipping​/Receiving

Description

Our Kingsville Distribution Center, a 150,000 sq. ft. refrigerated facility operating 24/7, is currently seeking a Shipper / Receiver to join our team. The essential function of this position is to provide exceptional customer support through ensuring the accuracy of inventory movement and warehousing.

Shift: 7am-3pm 5-6 days a week

Contract: Until September 5th, 2026

Wage: $19.20/hr

Full-Time Temporary

• Receive incoming shipments in a timely fashion, properly date code and label
• Inspect shipments for quality and count
• Enter invoices accurately into the computer program
• Report any product quality issues immediately to the supervisor
• Properly rotate product according to size, date and quantity
• Operate forklift to transport around the warehouse
• Promptly organize warehouse so that all similar product is grouped together
• Ensure product or materials are returned and stored properly back in inventory
• Ability to learn and develop a comprehensive understanding of produce quality
• Ability to follow allocations and load proper produce
• Ability to follow all company food safety and warehouse safety programs
• Ability to accurately count and review product in a timely manner
• Ensure product or materials are returned and stored properly back in inventory
• Ensure that all QA functions are being performed and documented accurately and efficiently

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Two years of warehouse order selecting experience required, produce experience preferred

• Must be able to work independently
• Must be able to repetitively lift up to 30 lbs
• Good communication and reading skills in English as well as basic mathematic skills
• Experience operating a forklift

• Environment includes an expansive refrigerated warehouse, where the temperature averages 50 degrees Fahrenheit. The background noise approaches 70 decibels
• Capable of lifting at least 30 lbs
• Position requires sitting, standing, walking and bending on a regular basis
• Must have manual dexterity to perform computer skills as needed
