As the Director of Nursing Services, you will oversee all nursing operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a compassionate, resident‑centered culture. Your leadership will inspire nursing staff to deliver high‑quality care while maintaining efficient workflows and promoting continuous improvement. Lead and manage the nursing department, including supervising nurse management staff and direct care providers, to ensure optimal resident outcomes and staff engagement.
Develop, implement, and review comprehensive care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, incorporating best practices in assisted living, nursing home, home health, hospice care, and acute care settings.
Oversee documentation review, medical records management, and compliance with HIPAA regulations to safeguard resident privacy and ensure accurate record‑keeping using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems.
Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations including Medicare standards, licensing requirements, and safety protocols.
Coordinate shift management to optimize staffing levels, improve workflow efficiency, and maintain high standards of care across all shifts.
Monitor clinical performance metrics such as MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments, care plan accuracy, and documentation quality to support quality improvement initiatives.
Foster a culture of leadership by mentoring nursing staff, promoting professional development, supervising performance evaluations, and encouraging teamwork.
Proven experience in nursing administration within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or similar healthcare environments with a strong background in nurse management and supervising teams.
Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and care planning processes related to resident care.
Demonstrated expertise in managing EMR/EHR systems for documentation review and medical records management.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, Medicare requirements, MDS assessments, and documentation standards for compliance purposes.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff, manage shift schedules effectively, and foster a positive work environment.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, residents’ families, regulatory agencies, and healthcare providers.
