Join our dynamic team at the Windsor Production facility, where we’re looking to welcome new Production Team Members for a 12‑hour evening/day shift. This role offers a unique chance to collaborate in the creation of wind turbine blades, crafting them from fiberglass and other materials. You’ll play a pivotal role in energizing homes across the US by bringing these monumental products to life.
The Blades Factory in Windsor produces blades for the new V163‑4.5 MW turbine as well as the 2 MW platform in our 666,000 sq‑ft building space on 161 acres of land. Components manufactured at our Windsor factory are used primarily in turbines in North America, and are also exported to Mexico, Uruguay, Brazil, and Europe.
Responsibilities- Efficiently operate manufacturing equipment with a strong commitment to safety protocols.
- Adhere to Process Work Instructions and engage in manual production processing to accurately fit and assemble components, such as bolts, screws, shafts, or bearings into a complete assembly.
- Exceed production benchmarks by completing specific tasks within the designated timeframe, playing a key role in the collective success of our team objectives.
- Lift, position, and/or remove material from work areas.
- Load, stack, and transport materials by hand, truck, crane, or jib.
- Read and comprehend Work Process Instructions and translate that into the ability to perform the tasks.
- Perform any ad hoc duties that may be assigned.
- Operating in an environment that involves the use of latex, epoxy, fiberglass, and fiberglass dust.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Minimum two years of experience in manufacturing, trade labor, craning, or fabrication.
- Effective communication skills in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Basic system skills—Microsoft Office, SAP, and Apriso preferred.
- Must pass a confined spaces test as required.
- Must pass a respiratory fit test as required.
- Competitive salary ranging from $23.50 – $28.00 per hour, based on experience and skill set.
