- Fitting & Welding—Interpret shop drawings, align steel components, and perform GMAW and FCAW welding to specifications.
- Quality Assurance—Ensure all assemblies meet AWS D1.1 and AISC standards.
- Safety & Equipment Inspections—Conduct pre‑shift checks and follow all safety protocols.
- Team Collaboration—Work closely with foremen and inspectors to keep production moving.
- Tool & Equipment Maintenance—Use Tekla EPM GO to maintain tools and organize work spaces.
- Adaptability—Work in shop, yard, and outdoor environments in all weather conditions.
The role is physically demanding and requires climbing, bending, sitting, standing, crouching, heavy lifting up to 60 lbs. You will perform these tasks in noisy, dirty, and outdoor environments—including all weather conditions.
Qualifications- Experience in structural and steel fabrication.
- Proficiency in GMAW and FCAW welding techniques.
- Knowledge of AWS D1.1 welding code and AISC Steel Construction standards.
- Ability to pass a 3G Welding Certification.
- Preferred:
Ability to operate Tekla EPM GO software. - Strong physical ability—lifting up to 60 lbs. and performing strenuous tasks.
