In this role you will work toward advancing our goal by providing expert guidance, tax preparation, and explanations of tax and technical terms to our customers. You will also shape the direction of one of our newest product offerings, Turbo Tax Live Business, while working at the #11 ranked company on Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For.
What You Will Do- Manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations.
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and proprietary business information in a responsible, reliable and safe manner.
- Utilize government websites, professional resources and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer to the customer using everyday language.
- Interact with customers via video communication software in a responsible, reliable and safe manner; document interactions to maintain accurate records.
- Interact with customers and team members in a professional manner while adhering to and promoting Intuit’s operating values, including integrity without compromise.
- Strong business tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws – at least 3 years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120‑S) for a minimum of 20 clients per season.
- Active, unrestricted credential: EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or Practicing Attorney.
- Minimum 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 tax returns per year in a practice or retail setting.
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, spread across three or more days.
- Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation is strongly preferred.
- Experience preparing business tax returns for service‑industry customers strongly preferred.
- Possession or ability to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits or bonds.
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
- Commitment to a minimum schedule of at least 20 hours per week in 4‑hour shift increments throughout the tax season.
- Working knowledge of Circular 230.
- Proficient with technology and solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
- Strong customer‑service skills – ability to interact with customers through video and audio tools in a professional, friendly, and confident manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking, problem solving, research skills, and determination.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Reliable internet connection that meets Intuit Security criteria.
The expected base pay range varies by location. Examples of ranges include:
Bay Area, California: $40,100 – $46,200
Southern California: $40,100 – $46,200
Colorado: $38,200 – $43,900
Hawaii: $40,100 – $46,200
Illinois: $38,200 – $43,900
Maryland: $38,200 – $43,900
Massachusetts: $40,100 – $46,200
Minnesota: $34,400 – $39,560
New Jersey: $40,100 – $46,200
New York: $40,100 – $46,200
Ohio: $34,400 – $39,560
Vermont: $38,200 – $43,900
Washington: $40,10 – $46,200
Washington‑DC: $38,200 – $43,900.
This position is eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits in accordance with Intuit’s plans and programs. Pay is based on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
