Vendor Relations Clerk I

Schedule: Hybrid
Pay Rate: $18-20/hr
Job SummaryReporting to the Vendor Relations Supervisor/Manager, this position will be responsible for the day‑to‑day maintenance of the repairs process.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Receives requests and coordinates vendors for completion of repairs or equipment requests.
- Records all incoming issues in designated system(s) and follows up with vendors and clients to ensure deadlines are met.
- Provides continuous updates to customers and systems in a timely and accurate manner.
- Addresses day‑to‑day vendor issues and works with internal partners to resolve them in a timely manner.
- Reviews and submits quotes and information received from vendors to determine next steps, coordinating or ordering parts, and other related needs.
- Utilizes systems to verify accuracy on work orders entered to ensure they are processed efficiently and contain correct data for reporting and billing purposes.
- Monitors team email and systems for new or escalated requests and assists with coverage.
- Maintains orders in assigned territory to meet individual/team metrics and ensures accuracy. Assists in other areas when needed.
- Reviews and analyzes processes and procedures to identify needs and provides recommendations with a high emphasis on continuous improvement.
- Interacts externally to resolve issues affecting operations, including inter‑company departments, vendors, and outsourced companies.
- Assists with developing and implementing process improvement solutions related to vendor processes and collaborates with operating areas to implement them.
- Assists with the onboarding process of all new vendors.
This job has no supervisory duties.
Qualifications- Education:
HS Diploma or GED (accredited). - Experience:
No previous experience required.
- Requires motor coordination with finger dexterity (keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) most of the workday.
- Requires physical exertion handling objects less than 30 pounds rarely.
- Exposed to physical occupational risks (cuts, burns, chemicals) rarely.
- Exposed to environment involving dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes rarely.
