Manufacturing Engineer

Join NE‑XT Technologies as a Manufacturing Engineer and help develop, optimize, and maintain CNC manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost‑effectiveness.

Base pay range: $110,000 – $150,000 per year (actual compensation will be based on skills and experience).

• Develop and implement efficient CNC machining processes, including tooling, fixtures, and programming for multi‑axis CNC machines.
• Create and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software, ensuring compliance with product specifications and quality standards.
• Analyze manufacturing workflows and identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products and provide DFM input during the design phase.
• Lead troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for manufacturing issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Evaluate and select CNC equipment, tooling, and technologies to support production needs.
• Establish and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, setup sheets, and standard operating procedures.
• Train and mentor machine operators and other staff on CNC processes, best practices, and quality standards.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, Six Sigma, and Kaizen projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in all manufacturing processes.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC machining and process engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with CNC machine programming, setup, and operation, including advanced skills like probe and macro programming.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (Solid Works, Esprit, NX, or equivalent) and simulation software (Vericut).
• In‑depth knowledge of multi‑axis CNC machining (3‑, 4‑, and 5‑axis mills and multi‑axis mill‑turn lathes).
• Strong understanding of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5) and blueprint reading.
• Extensive knowledge and use of common metrology & measurement systems.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and process optimization.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to perform root‑cause analysis.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with PC‑DMIS CMM programming and/or automation engineering.
• Experience in firearms manufacturing.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (preferably Epicor) for production planning.
• Certifications such as Six Sigma Green Belt, AS9100, or ISO 9001 experience.

• Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) – Hexagon
• CAM Software (Mastercam, Esprit, Surfcam, Siemens NX)
• Tape Measure Reading & other manufacturing measurement techniques.
