Overview
Thermal Spray Engineer opportunity with an aerospace organization partnered with SCN (Search Consulting Network).
PositionTitle:
Thermal Spray Engineer

- Supports major OEMs and Tier 1 customers in commercial and military aviation
- Headquartered in the U.S. with multiple global locations

- Industry: Aerospace MRO / Advanced Manufacturing
- 4+ years of experience in an aerospace MRO facility with special process responsibility
- Or direct experience with thermal spray / plasma spray processes in another industry
- Hands-on experience with robotic systems (ABB or Yaskawa preferred)
- Experience programming robotics for thermal spray applications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering
- Serve as the subject matter expert for plasma spray coating processes
- Develop and standardize process parameters, work instructions, and documentation
- Lead NADCAP accreditation activities for plasma spray operations
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and process development for new repairs
- Drive root cause and corrective actions for process deviations
- Mentor and train technicians on plasma spray standards and techniques
- Collaborate cross-functionally on process improvement and Lean projects
