• Managing, monitoring progress, evaluating performance, and leading the activities of Transmission Planning engineers.
• Ensuring compliance with NERC, NPCC, and ISO planning standards and requirements.
• Administering and coordinating regional reliability studies and processes, including Needs Assessments and Solutions Studies.
• Reviewing New England transmission owners’ local system plans, and coordination of those plans with ISO-NE-led regional planning processes.
• Reviewing New England transmission owners’ proposals and any associated studies.
• Leading development, testing, and maintenance of automation tools used in System Planning studies.
• Developing and presenting materials for the Planning Advisory Committee and supporting development of the annual Regional System Plan.
• Conducting analyses to support resolution of NEPOOL committee and regional transmission issues.
• Developing and recommending new business processes, and periodic review of existing business processes.
• Updating and developing Planning Procedures.
• Supporting the preparation and control of the Transmission Planning budget.

• Bachelor of Science in Electric Power Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required.
• Thorough knowledge of electric power system network analysis, transmission planning and assessment techniques, and transmission system reliability standards.

• Master’s degree in Electric Power Engineering or Electrical Engineering or an MBA.
• Supervisory experience in the power systems field.
• Registered Professional Engineer.
• Ten to fifteen years of experience in electric utility system planning/operations planning.
• Knowledge of ISO-NE/NEPOOL organization and processes.

The expected salary range for this position is $193,000 - $233,000 per year. This is a U.S. based role. If the successful candidate resides outside of the U.S., relocation will be required.
