Job Summary

An energy technology company is hiring a Mechanical Engineer in Windsor, CT area. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5 to 8 years of experience to lead the design, analysis, and modification of complex mechanical systems and pressure parts while utilizing advanced simulation techniques and project leadership skills to drive cost‑effective technical solutions. This is a 12‑month contract position.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering

Responsibilities
  • Plan, design, and modify machinery, equipment, and products.
  • Coordinate activities internally and with other groups to accomplish objectives.
  • Apply in‑depth knowledge of mechanical engineering and related disciplines.
  • Utilize advanced and innovative techniques to achieve cost‑effective results.
  • Proactively seek and implement initiatives to improve operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Design, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, products, or components.
  • Develop complex models or simulations using advanced computer programs and analytical techniques.
  • Act as a principal investigator or lead a group of engineers to resolve technical problems.
  • Prepare related recommendations and formal reports based on investigations.
  • Conduct economic studies and prepare specifications or contract proposals.
  • Manage licensing and safety documents while obtaining necessary approvals.
  • Represent the organization in meetings and conferences.
  • Interact directly with customers to resolve significant technical issues and create action plans.
  • Provide technical direction and minor administrative guidance to a small team.
  • Support the boiler market through pressure part material upgrades and power plant assessments.
Qualifications
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Requires 5 to 8 years of relevant experience or a specific combination of education and accomplishments.
