Entry-Level Structures Technician

A Structural Engineering Technician job is currently available at Belcan in Windsor, CT. This is a full-time direct job with benefits. Great matching candidates will need an Associate's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.

In this role, you will conduct structural analyses of a wide variety of component designs utilizing advanced analytical and CAD tools. This includes turbo machinery components, mechanical systems & controls, and tooling & instrumentation for commercial and military jet engines.

• Perform structural analyses using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and post‑process results
• Provide technical support for optimizing hardware designs and modeling approach
• Review structural test plans and reports
• Create and present substantiation documentation of analysis results
• Support hardware certification testing
• Review non‑conformance/ damage reports
• Interface with customers, hardware suppliers, and participate in design reviews / trade studies

• Associate's Degree (AS) in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or related field
• 0‑3 years' experience
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, Power Point
• US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED
• Experience using FEA software

• Experience using Ansys Workbench or Classic
• Experience evaluating stress and life of parts under vibration
• Experience with gas turbine components
• Aircraft engine controls and accessories experience

The position offers a salary range of $45,000 - $55,000. Benefits may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
