Position: CNC Machinist - 1st Shift - (1136-D)

CNC Machinist – 1st Shift – (1136-D) – Aero Gear, Windsor, CT.

Base Pay Range

$40,000.00 – $ per year

Position Summary

The CNC Machinist will independently and safely set up and operate 3-, 4- and 5‑axis equipment.

Essential Functions

• Read and understand process travelers, setup journals, tooling sheets and operation sheets to produce complex finished product.
• Make tooling adjustments and program offsets as necessary.
• Accurately inspect work utilizing various instruments, including OD &  gaging, indicators, micrometers, height stands and verniers.
• Perform daily TPM responsibilities.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in the work area. Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations. Wear the necessary personal protective equipment as required.
• Actively participate in cross‑training, cost‑saving and team activities to improve processes.
• Maintain appropriate tact and diplomacy in dealings with co‑workers, team members and supervisors.

Experience and Education

• Minimum of 5 years of aerospace CNC machining experience is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Degree/certificate from vocational school or college program is a plus, but extensive experience may substitute for education.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands

Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. During the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach, walk, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and talk or hear. Compensation

$40,000 – $100,000 per year. Paid hourly and may be adjusted based on level of experience, overtime and shift.
