Position: Assembler (at Windsor, CT)
We are currently seeking an Assembler based at our Windsor, CT location.
We are seeking 2 assemblers.
Assembler 1- Fabricate components using a variety of equipment such as a press, VTL or roller.
- Assemble components to build a wide variety of fans using a press, spot welders and pop rivets.
- Straighten and balance fans.
- Work with drawings of medium complexity, work orders, verbal and/or written instructions.
- Work with a variety of hand tools, cranes, hoists and material handling equipment.
- Must maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Work from blueprints, manuals, engineering specification, work orders.
- Work from schedules to plan, coordinate staging/washing/clearing components.
- Perform fit-ups, selecting tooling/instruments, presetting workstations.
- Retrive staging componets to deliver product to warehouse/shipping area.
- Inspect single plane balancing, assembly, testing, and spray painting.
- Operate impeller balancer, material handling, test, paint applications. Will use a powered forklift truck to move raw material within the site.
- Standing for long periods of time
- Walking the production floor
- Bending, stooping, lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Wear proper PPE for the job
Requires a fitted respirator for painting.
Your Experience Should Be- High School diploma, or GED ; or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience working in manufacturing
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read engineering documentation (drawings)
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools
- Work independently and as part of a team
