The Quality Inspector is responsible for reviewing aerospace components and details during manufacturing to ensure they meet company requirements. Duties include measuring jet engine components and details to assure they meet physical specifications and engine manual requirements, creating necessary documentation to verify conformity, and communicating inspection results with the Operations and Engineering teams.
Qualifications- Read blueprints, specifications, and engine manual to ensure that components meet production standards.
- Recommend any necessary adjustments and changes to production processes.
- Inspect and test components and details machined or fabricated by Operations.
- Use gauges such as micrometers, verniers, tapes, and gauges to measure products.
- Remove products that do not meet production standards and document the quality error.
- Accept or reject finished products and discuss inspection results with the Operations and Engineering team.
- Perform product audits to ensure the process can produce hardware.
- Must be fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Associate degree in an aviation related field preferred.
- At least 1‑year relevant aviation work experience.
- 1 ‑ 6 years’ experience in basic dimensional/visual inspection required on aviation related equipment (airframe, power plant, and/or avionic).
- Certify visual acuity to NAS‑410.
- Airframe and Powerplant FAA certifications preferred.

Chromalloy participates in E‑Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I‑9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S.
