Painter

Plan and perform a variety of difficult spray primer and/or finish painting including material preparation such as sanding, wire brushing, degreasing, filing and other operations on a variety of general finished products following established new methods and procedures.

We are hiring a Painter

• Work with job orders noting specifications, color codes, and charts.
• Prepare and mix standard and special primers, sealers, coatings, and enamels to the proper consistency.
• Apply primers and coatings to prepared surfaces.
• Apply hamertown finish on tools, epoxy, and varied acid‑resistant coatings as required.
• Assist other painters with special paint mix requirements and applications.
• Clean paint booth and spray guns upon completion of usage, drain water from compressor.
• Maintain records of work performance.
• Keep the area clean and orderly.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations.

Standing, bending, stooping, walking throughout the plant. Will require additional PPE.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years or more painting experience, preferable in a manufacturing environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
