By mid-morning you’re building a robust CMM routine in PC-DMIS or MCOSMOS, choosing the right fixtures and tooling for stability. After lunch, you complete a gage R&R, refine tolerances using GD&T best practices, and close the loop with the machinist and design engineer.

You wrap the day updating control plans and PPAP packages so the next run is even better.

What You’ll DoDevelop and refine CMM programs for machined components using PC-DMIS and MCOSMOS.Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, and standards to define inspection strategies that meet customer requirements.

Select and apply appropriate fixturing, tooling, and setups to enable accurate, repeatable measurements.

Review and verify product inspections and tests against drawings and specifications.

Execute MSA activities, including gage R&R, to validate measurement integrity.

Create and maintain quality documentation: control plans, inspection plans, FAI submissions, and PPAP deliverables per customer needs.

Ensure project and process control documentation align with requirements, objectives, and contractual obligations.

Collaborate closely with engineers, machinists, and quality personnel to resolve issues quickly.
