Culinary Manager in Training, FLIK / Travelers Insurance / Windsor, CT

Join Flik Hospitality Group as a Culinary Manager in Training in Windsor, CT. This entry‑level management role is designed for recent graduates (0–2 years out of college) who are eager to learn the full spectrum of culinary and back‑of‑house operations. You will receive hands‑on training and participate in the Compass Group Accelerated Manager Program (AMP), with the opportunity to advance to roles such as Sous Chef, Chef Manager, Executive Dining Chef, or Catering Chef.

Responsibilities
  • Learn and apply FLIK Hospitality Group’s best practices in marketing, customer service, retail, merchandising, purchasing, supply chain, hiring, training, payroll, and profit & loss management.
  • Receive hands‑on experience at a designated location and participate in AMP.
  • Prepare for potential relocation within the region for placement opportunities.
  • Attempt full‑time management placement or promotion upon successful completion of AMP.
Accelerated Manager Program (AMP)
  • Assessment, organizational training, and one‑on‑one coaching focused on leadership development.
  • Personalized learning path with experiential learning, micro‑courses, and simulations.
  • Peer support and mentorship.
  • 360° evaluation of progress and development.
  • Program length: 12 weeks or more, depending on learning pace and goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required by May 2026 or earlier.
  • Experience in customer service or hospitality within restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, or similar food service operations.
  • Basic knowledge of profit and loss management, inventory control, and cash handling.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with peers, employees, clients, and customers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of contract administration and client relations.
  • Up‑to‑date on food and catering trends, focusing on quality, production, sanitation, safety, and marketing.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet applications.
  • Open to relocation for the right role or advancement opportunity.
  • Driver’s License preferred but may be required for certain roles.
