Summary
Peacock Insurance Services are looking for a new Accounts Apprentice. You will be studying toward your Accounts or Finance Assistant Level 2 qualification.
Wage£15,808 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age.
Employment Details- Hours:
Monday
- Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays, 9:00am-2:00pm. 38 hours a week - Start date:
Monday 27 July 2026 - Duration: 1 year

Most of the apprenticeship is spent working on the job, gaining hands‑on experience in the office.
What You’ll Do at Work- Processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and expense tracking
- Supporting the preparation and organisation of financial documentation
- Handling internal and external queries in a professional manner
- Providing general administrative support to the accounts and office teams
- Updating and maintaining company systems and databases
- Ensuring records are accurate, up to date, and compliant with company procedures
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across different departments to support daily business operations
- Learning and applying accounting principles and office processes as part of apprenticeship training
- Supporting ad‑hoc finance and administrative tasks as required

- Record transactional data.
- Use the organisation's standard tools and processes to examine data and identify transactional issues such as reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
- Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
- Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
- Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon and using language tailored to the audience.
- Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks.
- Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, including backing up data.
