The OpportunityWe're working with a well-established, fast-growing support services organisation to appoint a Business Development Director for a key region/vertical.
This is a senior commercial role with full responsibility for new business growth, key account retention, and strategic pipeline development, reporting directly into a Regional/Vertical Managing Director.
This role offers something many roles don't:

The RoleYou will take ownership of growth across your region/sector, with a remit that includes:
- Driving new business acquisition, focusing on high-value strategic opportunities
- Leading bid strategy and commercial negotiations
- Owning major contract renewals, ensuring strong retention and client development
- Building and maintaining senior-level client relationships
- Developing and managing a robust sales pipeline and forecast
- Working closely with operational and customer teams to deliver growth from existing accounts
- Leading and developing Business Development Managers (where applicable)
This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role - you'll be expected to lead from the front as well as contribute at a strategic level.
About YouWe're looking for an experienced business development professional who can operate at both strategic and execution level:
- Proven track record of winning and closing high-value contracts
- Strong background in complex B2B / outsourced / service‑led environments
- Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders
- Commercially astute, driven and highly self‑motivated
- Previous team leadership experience is advantageous, but not essential
A high‑trust, low‑politics environment
Leadership that is visible, supportive, and values-driven
A business that is growing strongly and sustainably
Real autonomy to shape your market and approach
Long‑term career opportunity within a people‑first organisation
This is about joining a business where:
- Your voice is heard
- Your impact is visible
- And the culture actually matches what's promised
This role suits someone who wants to:
- Step into a broader, more strategic leadership role
- Escape overly corporate, process‑heavy environments
- Work in a business where culture and performance go hand‑in‑hand
- Still earn well, but gain significantly more in job satisfaction and autonomy
