Join our Dermatology Team at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust!
We are seeking a Consultant Dermatologist to deliver high-quality care across our sites. This is a full-time role (10 PAs).
Main duties of the jobThe main duties of the post constitute skin cancer clinics, general dermatology clinics, outpatient skin surgery, ward referrals and with a view to supporting paediatric dermatology, contact dermatitis and psoriasis. The post holder will be expected to see new patients as well as treating patients from the waiting list. Sessions will be a mixture of fixed and flexible.

Job responsibilitiesIn addition to the main duties previously described a local skin cancer MDT is held weekly. There is also a network skin cancer MDT meeting held weekly serving the skin cancer network.
The Division of Dermatology and Plastics expects CPD to be maintained.
The post does not come with on-call commitments; however advice to wards/ED will be required.
The postholder would be encouraged to develop a subspecialty interest if desired.

Person Specification Qualifications- MBBS or equivalent
- MRCP with CCT in dermatology or within 6 months of achieving at time of application or equivalent
- Full GMC registration
- Research and special interests
- Able to demonstrate appropriate surgical skills to undertake Minor Operation Lists which include:
Excision Biopsies, Incisional Biopsies, Punch Biopsies and Curette
- Experience of teaching medical students and trainees
- Evidence of presentations, publications, relevant courses or positions of responsibility
- Participation in audits (including national audits)
- Evidence of developing a service
- Success in bid or grant writing in obtaining funding at local or national level
- Commitment to work in a team and actively support colleagues in own and other disciplines
- Good interpersonal skills
- Able to organise time efficiently and effectively
- Commitment to continuing professional development and the requirements of clinical governance
- Demonstrates attributes consistent with the values of the department and the organisation
