Art & Design Technician

Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking an Art & Design Technician to join our Creative Arts Department at our Windsor College campus on a permanent, all-year-round basis. The role pays from G17 £ 24,983.00 to G19 £ 26,784.00, which will be dependent on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Provide first-class technical support to staff and students.
  • Ensure safe and effective use of specialist equipment, tools, and creative work spaces.
  • Communicate with a wide range of people at all levels.
  • Maintain equipment, manage stock levels, and organise workshop resources.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum Level 2 (GCSE A-C) qualification in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
  • Qualification in Art & Design, 3D Design, Ceramics, Fashion, Textiles, or a related creative discipline.
  • Practical knowledge of 3D design processes, model making, ceramics, mould making and casting techniques.
  • Experience with kiln operation, woodworking, textiles or digital fabrication software is highly advantageous.
  • Highly organised, methodical and flexible working approach.
  • Enthusiasm for supporting high-quality teaching and effective learning.
