Assistant Management Accountant

We are looking for a driven, part-qualified Assistant Management Accountant. This is a career-building opportunity ideal for a recent graduate or early-career finance professional looking to gain hands-on exposure across the full finance lifecycle while progressing with professional studies (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or AAT).

Reporting to the Senior Financial Controller, you will support core management accounting activities, month-end processes, and regulatory reporting within a regulated financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and asset registers
• Process invoices, receipts, payments, and manage company credit cards
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close processes (including prepayments, accruals, intercompany and multi-currency transactions)
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare VAT returns
• Assist with payroll processing
• Support year-end audit queries and regulatory returns
• Ensure adherence to FCA rules and internal policies

Skills & Experience

• Experience in bookkeeping or a similar finance role
• Relevant degree and part-qualified (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical ability and high attention to detail
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Proactive mindset with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
