We’re looking for a commercial, resilient HR Business Partner to operate at the heart of our Corporate Functions, partnering senior Finance, Strategy and Procurement leaders across a global population of c.1,500 colleagues to translate enterprise strategy into measurable people impact.

This is a high-visibility role for someone who thrives in complexity, brings gravitas at executive level, and is motivated by driving outcomes - not activity.

The Role - Why This Matters

As a trusted advisor to executive and senior leaders, you will shape and deliver people interventions that create commercial value through workforce, capability and culture. What You’ll Be Doing
  • Drive enterprise‑level people outcomes aligned to IHG’s corporate strategy, translating business priorities into measurable workforce, capability and culture impact
  • Deliver organisation effectiveness at scale, leading complex OD and change programmes that enable growth, efficiency and accountability

  • Act as a credible, trusted advisor to senior Finance leaders, balancing support with constructive challenge to improve decision quality and outcomes
  • Confidently influence and challenge at C‑suite level, using insight, evidence and external perspective while balancing pace and risk
  • Thrive in complex, ambiguous environments, maintaining momentum and delivery discipline through sustained change
  • Leverage people analytics and insight to diagnose issues, predict risk and shape strategic interventions, translating data into clear recommendations for leaders
  • Operate effectively within a global, matrixed organisation, navigating regional, cultural and regulatory nuance while driving consistent outcomes
  • Partner closely with HR Centres of Excellence to ensure enterprise frameworks, cycles and tools are pragmatic, customer‑centric and impactful
  • Lead succession planning and critical talent strategies, including accelerated pathways aligned to future enterprise capability needs
  • Ensure rigorous delivery of performance and talent cycles, embedding accountability and high standards
  • Provide senior‑level guidance on ER, resourcing, reward, talent and leadership within UK legislative frameworks, partnering with Policy & Projects to ensure compliance and best practice
  • Work collegiately with other regional and global HRBP’s to drive unity
About You
  • Proven HR Business Partnering experience operating at executive level to translate business strategy into enterprise‑wide people outcomes
  • A commercial, outcome‑focused mindset, translating people interventions into measurable business impact
  • Proven delivery of large‑scale organisation design, transformation and change, driving organisation effectiveness and performance
  • Strong command of UK employment law, with experience operating in global or multi‑jurisdictional environments
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, advise and constructively challenge executive leaders with credibility, evidence and gravitas
  • Successful track record operating within complex global and matrixed organisations, navigating cultural, regulatory and regional nuance
  • Data‑ and insight‑led decision maker, leveraging people analytics to diagnose issues, shape interventions and inform prioritisation
  • Evidence of building leadership capability and talent pipelines, strengthening succession and long‑term organisation effectiveness
  • High levels of resilience, agility and tenacity, sustaining momentum and delivery through ambiguity and competing priorities
  • CIPD qualification (strongly desirable)
