Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Supply Planner to join our growing supply chain team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a planning professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across suppliers, manufacturing, demand planning, and inventory management. The successful candidate will play a key role within the S&OP process, ensuring the business maintains the correct inventory levels to support customer demand while balancing stock investment, supplier performance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain supply plans in line with customer demand forecasts and business requirements
Play a key role in the S&OP process, providing accurate supply and inventory insights
Work closely with Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Operations teams to ensure supply plans are aligned to business needs
Manage inventory levels to ensure optimum stock availability while minimising excess and obsolete stock
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring service, quality, and delivery expectations are achieved
Monitor supplier performance, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions where required
Lead supplier review meetings and performance discussions
Identify potential supply chain constraints and develop contingency plans to minimise disruption
Analyse inventory, forecast accuracy, and supplier performance data to drive continuous improvement
Support business growth by ensuring supply chain capability can meet future demand requirements
Key Skills/Experience:
Previous experience in a Supply Planner, Supply Chain Planner or Inventory Planner
Strong understanding of S&OP and integrated business planning processes
Experience working closely with suppliers and manufacturing operations
Proven ability to manage inventory levels and stock optimisation strategies
Experience managing supplier performance and service-related issues
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel skills
Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced and changing environment
