We have a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for nature and the outdoors, to help deliver the National Trust's new Strategy; ‘to end unequal access to history, nature and beauty’, and to inspire communities to take action.
This role is required to work with vulnerable groups including children and any offer of employment or volunteering is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.

You’ll spend about 2 days per week working on outdoor practical ranger tasks with the Ranger team. This will ensure that you have excellent working knowledge of the site and familiarity with ranger practices and priorities.
Runnymede is an iconic site on the banks of the river Thames, famed for its rich history centred around the signing of the magna carta, but also known as a haven for nature, including the Langham Ponds SSSI. The team are also responsible for the sites of Ankerwycke, just across the river, and for Finchampstead Ridges and Simons Wood.
What you’ll be doingThe role is focused on nature and will work closely with a well-established Ranger Team as well as delivering community sessions independently.
For the small team at Runnymede, you’ll take the lead on inspiring the community to take an interest in the nature and beauty that Runnymede has to offer, working closely with experienced ranger staff and volunteers, and other members of the team.
The role will also have a significant focus on volunteers, enabling support to countryside management through the recruitment and management of ranger volunteers and habitat monitors.
The primary emphasis of the role will be engaging with the community, both local and more broadly, about the nature and beauty represented at Runnymede.
