We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Veterinary Nursing Assistant to join our team at Alma Vets on a full-time permanent basis.

Join our busy Veterinary Hospital in the heart of Windsor, which strives to provide gold-standard care to our patients and clients. We are a fully equipped first opinion practice seeing a wide range of surgical and medical cases. We have 4 consultation rooms, separate cat and dog waiting rooms and wards. As well as all the usual facilities of a first opinion practice, we have a dedicated dental suite, an imaging room, and a full in-house laboratory.

Our hospital is very well equipped with a Karl Storz laparotomy tower, radiography, ultrasound, dental radiography, a full in-house laboratory, a Tonopen, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, orthopaedic equipment, ECG, Capnography and much more. We are proud to be the only practice within a 15-mile radius able to offer laparoscopic surgery to our patients.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Nursing Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care, while helping to ensure the practice environment runs smoothly and safely.

Working under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll support inpatient care, assist with patient handling and restraint, help maintain clinical areas and equipment, and contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for both patients and clients.

Working Pattern
  • Varied rota with shifts starting between 7am and ending e Saturday mornings within working hours.
Key Responsibilities
  • Basic animal husbandry
  • Patient restraint for examination and basic procedures
  • Maintaining a clean, hygienic environment throughout the hospital
  • Running laboratory tests
  • Preparation and maintenance of equipment and supplies
  • Supporting the clinical team
  • Supporting the reception/ client care team
  • Working closely with the nursing team to provide a high standard of nursing care to our patients
  • Maintaining of patient and client records.
