Availability Window
All shifts will be scheduled within the following times:
- Sun: 06:30 – 14:30
- Fri: 06:30 – 14:30
Our Tesco Colleague rate starts from £13.28 an hour and rises to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, but can accommodate fewer hours down to 12, offering flexibility where possible.
Responsibilities- Help serve shoppers better every day.

- Know customers and serve them with passion and pride, delivering excellent natural service.
- Be passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within the store.
- Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas as required.
- Apply the training you receive so that all staff work safely, effectively and serve customers brilliantly.
- Make decisions that are right for customers, delivering routines that meet their needs at the right time.
- Take part in seasonal, community and charity events, creating an inclusive atmosphere.
- Understand the store’s performance, your role in driving service and sales, reducing waste and shrink, and delivering profit.
- Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
- Live our values, make everyone feel welcome, and always follow our policies.
- Accept deliveries into the store when required.
- Greet customers with a smile and serve them with pride.
- Build rapport with customers so they leave with a great shopping trip.
- Take initiative and make decisions that are right for our customers.
- Work well within a team and communicate openly with others.
- Build relationships with colleagues to create a team spirit, celebrate successes and have fun.
- Be punctual, well presented, and ready to act as a brand ambassador.
- Must be over 18 years of age.
- Ability to work within the availability window above.
- Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to build rapport.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and to accept deliveries when needed.
- Understanding of and compliance with Tesco policies and safety procedures.
