Availability Window

All shifts will be scheduled within the following times:

  • Sun: 06:30 – 14:30
  • Fri: 06:30 – 14:30
Pay and Hours

Our Tesco Colleague rate starts from £13.28 an hour and rises to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, but can accommodate fewer hours down to 12, offering flexibility where possible.

  • Help serve shoppers better every day.

  • Make decisions that are right for customers, delivering routines that meet their needs at the right time.
  • Take part in seasonal, community and charity events, creating an inclusive atmosphere.
  • Understand the store’s performance, your role in driving service and sales, reducing waste and shrink, and delivering profit.
  • Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
  • Live our values, make everyone feel welcome, and always follow our policies.
  • Accept deliveries into the store when required.
  • Greet customers with a smile and serve them with pride.
  • Build rapport with customers so they leave with a great shopping trip.
  • Take initiative and make decisions that are right for our customers.
  • Work well within a team and communicate openly with others.
  • Build relationships with colleagues to create a team spirit, celebrate successes and have fun.
  • Be punctual, well presented, and ready to act as a brand ambassador.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Must be over 18 years of age.
  • Ability to work within the availability window above.
  • Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to build rapport.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and to accept deliveries when needed.
  • Understanding of and compliance with Tesco policies and safety procedures.
