Plant Technician – Workshop-Based Specialist Vehicles

About the Role
As a Plant Technician, you’ll carry out a full range of service, maintenance, and repair tasks on specialist vehicles. You’ll work independently within our fully equipped Slough workshop, supported by a collaborative and professional team.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair specialist vehicles and equipment to high standards.
Work efficiently while maintaining strong attention to safety and quality.
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and colleagues.
Keep job sheets, timesheets, and service records accurate and up to date.
Maintain excellent standards of workshop cleanliness and organisation.
Provide technical feedback and improvement suggestions to management.
Promote parts and service opportunities when appropriate.
Occasionally attend customer sites as required.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in plant, forklift, HGV, or similar mechanical roles.
Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Ability to work independently with a professional, problem-solving mindset.
A commitment to quality workmanship and a team-oriented approach.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
