Social Worker - Children's Assessment Team

Are you a qualified children's social worker who thrives on assessment and front door work? Pro Social Partners are working in partnership with Achieving for Children to recruit a Social Worker into their Assessment Team, covering the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. This is a permanent role with a well regarded childrens services provider. About the team and the role The Assessment Team is the first response for children and families who need help.

You will take new referrals, get out and see families quickly and work out what needs to happen to keep children safe. Day to day you will:
Carry out timely child and family assessments under the Children Act 1989 Visit children and families and build trust at what is often a difficult time Analyse risk and make confident decisions about the right support Complete section 47 enquiries alongside police, health and education partners Why this is a great move Achieving for Children is a social enterprise owned by three councils, so it has the stability of the public sector with a genuine focus on good social work practice.
