Registered Nurse CDH NICU Full-time Nights Sign-on Bonus
We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our NICU team at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital. The position is full‑time, night shift, with an hourly rate of $37.00–$55.20 and a $3,000 sign‑on bonus for qualified candidates.

To qualify for the sign‑on bonus, external candidates must have at least one year of experience. This role is staffed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the NICU, responsible for patient assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The RN collaborates with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff, maintains ANA standards, and supports shared governance and unit projects.
Responsibilities- Collect and analyze data, develop and implement individualized plans, and evaluate patient progress.
- Direct care and determine the appropriate use of any assistant involved in direct patient care.
- Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff to create documented care plans focused on outcomes.
- Participate in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and individualize the plan of care based on findings.
- Utilize the best available evidence, including research findings, to guide practice decisions.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with others
- Strong analytic abilities
- Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of first day of employment.
- Experience in a specific clinical area
- Additional preferences for the Emergency Room and Pediatric Emergency Room
- Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS)
- Emergency Communications Registered Nurse
- Certified Pediatric Nurse
- Certified Emergency Nurse
